Amplify Leads

Amplify Leads serve as liaisons, facilitators, and program champions at their home organizations. Leads receive training to recruit participants, facilitate online discussion groups, and support the success of their small group participants.

Position Description

Minimum Qualifications
  • Due to a program redesign for 2026, applicants must have already participated in Amplify to apply.
  • Employed in Advancement at a college, university, or other educational institution for the duration of the program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Presentation, facilitation, teaching, or training experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and belonging
  • Conversant with gender-related topics and issues
Responsibilities
  • Recruit and retain 4-6 Amplify group members (Amplify Participants) who represent diverse identities, functional areas, and roles at your organization
  • Serve as point-of-contact for Participants, sharing updates, reminders, and other communications as needed
  • Schedule and facilitate weekly group meetings, including reserving rooms, creating calendar invites, and managing technology
  • Attend the two-day online Amplify Lead Retreat on Thursday, January 22, and Friday, January 23, 2026, and three online trainings that take place Thursdays from noon – 1:30 p.m. EST on February 19, March 5, and March 19, 2026.
  • Attend the Amplify Program sessions that take place every Thursday from noon – 1:30 p.m. EST from March 26 – May 21, 2026.
  • Participate in the Amplify Allies & Partners Event on July 16, 2026, from 1:00-2:00 EST.
  • Troubleshoot issues that may arise with the program or within the group and update/involve Program Managers as needed
  • Ensure Amplify Participants complete pre- and post-program evaluations
  • Serve as a positive role model for Amplify and your home organization
  • Demonstrate high levels of interpersonal competence, cross-cultural sensitivity, and excellence

It has been an amazing experience watching my cohort grow and gain confidence in themselves. I have created life-long professional friendships, I have learned how to lead and facilitate, and I am thinking about what I want next in my life and career.
