Three interrelated strategies – personal, leadership, and organizational – reinforce and support each other to create sustainable, transformative change.

Personal Development

Internalized oppression plays out as Stereotype Threat and the oft-cited Imposter Phenomenon that makes us feel like frauds regardless of our talent and accomplishments. Amplify will provide tools to recognize and change our perceptions of ourselves to help heal these and other forms of internalized oppression.

Leadership Development

The traditional “leader” reflects identities of those who have historically held power in society. Moreover, outmoded leadership practices mirror oppressive behaviors. Amplify will help us redefine “leader” in ways that work for, not against, our identities, and reframe “leadership” as a process of people working together to create positive change.

Organizational Development

By creating shared learning experiences and a community of support, Amplify enables us to push for organizational change together. From speaking up at meetings to taking on leadership roles, starting an employee resource group to requesting pay audits, Amplify will empower us to create more inclusive organizations.


Amplify Skills

The anti-oppression skills of reframing, navigating, and advocating support our individual and collective liberation from the systems and structures that hold us back in all aspects of our lives.


Reframing

Reframing is to look at something in a new way. Through Amplify, you will learn to rewrite old stories and update traditional beliefs that no longer serve you.

Navigating is to go around or avoid obstacles. Amplify will teach you ways to recognize double standards and gender roles that hold you back at work and at home.

Advocating

Advocating is to create change for yourself and others. Amplify will help you identify opportunities for growth, create a plan, and take action.
